JANITOR JOE - "stinker" tour 7" [scale62]

got this record some weeks ago from a punk guy from berlin. this was a tour only pressing of 500 back in 1993.
i think JANITOR JOE are one of the more well known bands on AmRep with several 7" releases and two lps. the bass player later joined HOLE.

this record features two songs: "stinker" on the a-side and "pest" on the b-side. both sound kind of TAD influenced driving rock.

PARTY DICTATOR - stand behind me 7" [scale69]

as far as i know the only german band appearing in the labelroster. i think they were from bremen and ended up on ROADRUNNER RECORDS, haha. they also appear on the "AmRep Motors 1995 Models" compilation.

to me they sound like a lo-fi version of HAMMRHEAD on this recordings, but find out by yourself:

AmRep Bands playing HÜSKER DÜ

here we got some collectors stuff for you:

in 1993 Synapse Records released a kind of tribute to HÜSKER DÜ by compiling covers of songs from the "Zen Arcade" double-lp. all bands are from minneapolis. it also features covers by three AmRep Bands:

HAMMERHEAD - "something i´ve learned today"
JANITOR JOE - "what´s goin´on"
VERTIGO - "masochism world"

while the songs by JANITOR JOE just sound like "cover versions" HAMMERHEAD´s interpretation of one of my favourite HÜSKER DÜ songs "something i´ve learned today" just seems to be one of their own songs. just great! less talk, more rock:

COWS - singles

Here we go with COWS as a first post. The Cows were one of the well known bands of the label. Dirty, fuzzy and ugly noise rock with sort of punk in it and sometimes even a trumpet!

The Download contains the "Slap Back" (scale30), "Plowed" (scale50) and "Cow Island" (scale65) seven inches and the track from the "Porn Vol. 4" split with BOSS HOG.

It also includes their first seven inch "Chow" (treehouse records) and the "The missing letter is you" Picture-10" (Thick Records).
